- On 20th and 21st November 2009, UCSI English Academy,
Terengganu campus, with the support of UCSI University
Terengganu, welcomed the Saudi Arabian Education Attaché,
Dr. Abdulaziz Bashir.
The objective of the visit was to promote UCSI University
in Terengganu and to show what Terengganu has to offer
to future Saudi Arabian students.
Dr Abdulaziz Bashir arrived at Kuala Terengganu International
Airport at 9.20 p.m. At the meeting at UCSI University
in Marang, Terengganu, the Chief Operating Officer,
Dr Eyad, talked about UCSI University and its purpose
here in Terengganu. The 2-hour meeting also included
a tour of the Campus to show the infrastructure of this
magnificent campus. Dr. Abdulaziz Bashir was really
impressed. Since it was the monsoon season here, he
was also taken for a drive into Kuala Terengganu to
all the famous landmarks.
The next morning, Dr Abdulaziz visited Pasar Payang
and Nor Arfa Batik for a glimpse of the local life and
community before his return flight to KL at 2.00 p.m.
All in all, he was happy to have come to Terengganu
and hopes that UCSI University, Terengganu campus and
Saudi Arabia could come together to make it meaningful
for both parties.
UCSI University looks forwards to maintaining this working
relationship with the Saudi Embassy in the hopes of
future expansions in other beneficial programmes for
Saudi residents in Malaysia.
