Kuching, 06 August 2010 - UCSI University, Sarawak Campus is holding Open Days on August 7 and 8 and the public are invited to make enquiries on the courses and scholarships available at the University.

The University doors will be open from 10am to 5pm on both days, and prospective students and parents are encouraged to meet with the course counsellors who will explain the details of the programmes offered at the different University campuses nationwide, as well what students can expect from being a part of UCSI. Information booths will be open to guests for this purpose.

Walk-in guests can expect to receive complimentary coffee and cakes from the University’s very own Coffee Bar and Bistro, an upscale on-campus café that operates on weekdays and is open to public.

Guests will also be given insightful previews on the career prospects in the hospitality and tourism industry. Some of the University’s personnel will share their experiences from within the industry, and advise students on what other options are out there pertaining to the industry.

There will be a booth set up especially for the Executive Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism, a programme offered by UCSI Extension, a training subsidiary of the UCSI Group, designed for working adults who are already in the industry, or planning to switch to it.

An interactive booth will also be set up to showcase photo presentations of the many events and activities that the university has organised and been involved in. The presentation will also show what activities the Faculty of Hospitality and Management students have been up to in their journey with the university.

Courses offered at the University include Event & Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Hotel Management and Commerce (with majors in International Business, Industrial Relations, and Retail Management). GCE A-Levels and Foundation Studies are also available.
