UCSI University Platinum Exhibitor at BPIEF   22 March 2010 UCSI University, Sarawak Campus staff during career counselling at the Education Fair Kuching, 22 March 2010 - UCSI University, Sarawak Campus invites members of the public to the upcoming Borneo Post International Education Fair (BPIEF) this coming weekend. The University will be setting up booth at the Fair from Friday, 26 March to Sunday, 28 March from 10.00am to 8.30pm daily. Organised by Borneo International Expo, the BPIEF will be the biggest Education Fair in Borneo. UCSI University, Sarawak Campus as the platinum sponsor for the Fair, will be sponsoring a total of RM18,000 towards the BPIEF besides giving out scholarships and free gifts to visitors to the Fair. The sponsorship handover ceremony was held at the University Campus in November last year between UCSI Chief Operating Officer Ms. Lu Huong Ying and BPIEF 2010 Co-Chairman Mr. Dorge Rajah. Staff and students of the University will be at the booth to meet up with prospective students and parents to assist students decide on their study and career pathways. Guests may make enquiries about all the courses including Hospitality and Tourism, Mass Communication, Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, Architecture, Business, Design, and Computing offered at UCSI University, Sarawak Campus as well as the other campus branches nationwide. Apart from course counselling, UCSI University has a total of RM5 million worth of education scholarships to award students who have shown academic excellence in their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Diploma courses. In 2009, the University awarded 426 of its own high achievers with a total of RM2.95 million worth of scholarships to reward them for their brilliant academic performances. UCSI University, Sarawak Campus will also provide an education grant for Sarawakian Bumiputra students who performed well in school but are unable to afford pursuing higher education in private institutions.
