Kuching, 17 November 2009 -
UCSI University, Sarawak Campus today
was awarded Platinum Sponsor of the upcoming Borneo
Post International Education Fair (BPIEF) 2010 that
is managed by Borneo International Expo.
The handover ceremony took place at the University campus,
between Mr. Dorge Rajah, Chairman of the BPIEF 2010
and Ms. Lu Huong Ying, Chief Operating Officer of UCSI
University, Sarawak Campus.
Also present at the ceremony were Ms. Gracie Geikie,
Associate Dean of UCSI’s Faculty of Hospitality and
Management, Mr. M Rajah, Advisor for the BPIEF 2010
and other event committee members.
Lu in her speech stated that besides addressing public
enquiries on education, as Platinum Sponsor the
University will sponsor a total of RM18,000 in the BPIEF,
presenting scholarships and free gifts to participants
at the fair.
She also described the University’s elation at being
the sole platinum sponsor for the BPIEF 2010 which recognises
the importance of tertiary education and is thus, involved
in creating further awareness for it in Kuching.
The University fully supports the endeavours of the
organising committee in making the BPIEF 2010 a huge
success.
