The VOLEX research team comprises of 6 key members, 3 of whom are expert consultants from various fields.

 

Prof. Dr. Norfadzillah Hitam - Consultant & Vice President of Research & Corporate Affairs, UCSI

Prof. Dr. Norfadzillah is the University's Vice president or Research & Corporate Affairs. She has been instrumental during the early initiatives in applying for the MDeC grant. Through out her illustrious career, she has been both a member and Chairperson of various research committees and teams. Her extensive knowledge in research management has been a guiding for for the research team.

 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eyad Radwan - Consultant & Head, School of Engineering

Dr. Radwan who is also the Head of UCSI's School of Engineering hails from Jordan. As a consultant to the research team he continuously keeps abreast of development and advises the team in various matter. His expertise lies in the field of motors and has been of critical assistance in matters related to Volex's rotating sections.

 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Richard Eason - External Consultant, University of Maine, USA

Dr. Eason who lives in Maine, USA was originally a patent holder of a 2-D display apparatus which uses a similar concept as that of Volex. In addition to that Dr. Eason is also the holder of various patents to devices that he had invented as a  hobby. Dr. Eason draws on his extensive experience when advising the research team in matters pertaining to the display processing and overall construct.

 

Mr. Andres M. Trianon - Team Leader, CRE Manager

Mr. Trianon is the R&D Manager at UCSI and heads the Centre for Research Excellence (CRE). As the Team Leader, he has been the driving force behind the entire project from its conception to its current stage. Mr. Trianon holds a B. Sc in Computing for Business from Northumbria University.

 

Mr. Goh Kheng Teong - Research Assistant

Mr. Goh, an electrical engineering graduate from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia joined the research team on March 2006. He is currently involved in designing and testing various prototypes used for Volex.

 

Mr. Jullian U. John - Research Assistant

Mr. John, an electronic engineering graduate from UCSI joined the research team on October 2005. He is currently involved in designing and testing various prototypes used for Volex.
