Applied & Life Sciences Laboratories
The Physical Chemistry & Molecular Biology Labs are equipped with several Laminar Flow Workstation and Tissue Culture Chamber that provides researchers and students a controlled environment to study and experiment with the growth of tissues and culture. State-of the-art rotary chambers & CO2 incubators are also available for use. The University has further provided the lab with a RM 40,000 Millipore Ultra-pure Water system and a RM30,000 Fermentation Chamber. The fermentation chamber is equipped with PCs that allows computer aided control on the culture environment required. Researchers are also provided access to a Mini Darkroom Gel Documentation System.
The Pharmacy Practice & Research Labs are further equipped with Fluid Bed Dryer, granulator, tablet coating machines, and multi-punch tableting machine. These equipments allow students & researchers to test and create specific medication in tablet form. To test and study the behaviors of any solution or tablet in various conditions, the lab provides a Dissolution Tester, Disintegration Tester and a Thermo Haake Rheometer.
The Physiology & Pharmacology Labs are equipped with several units of BIOPAC Software system costing RM30, 000 each, and further augmented with the latest model of Dell PC units and colour bubble jet printers. Each test station is equipped with 2 units each. the lab is further equipped with Hotplate Analgesia Meters & Tail Flick Analgesia Meters.
The Research Instruments Labs provide lecturers and researchers with high-end solutions for research purposes. these labs are equipped with HPLC Isocratic Systems, Luminescence Spectrometer, Tensile Meter, Gas Chromatography Meter and Atomic Absorption Meter.
