Mission Statement & Structure

Research & Scholarly Activities Committee

Functions

Every University must encourage and support the undertaking of Research activities within and beyond its campus. With this in mind, the University Academic Board has appointed a highly qualified Research & Scholarly Activities Committee (Senate-R&SA)  to oversee the progress and growth of Research Projects at UCSI. Each faculty has also appointed a Faculty Research & Scholarly Activities Committee (F-R&SA) to manage faculty level research operations.

With experts from multiple fields of study, it is the F-RSA’s responsibility to vet and scrutinize every Project Proposal prior to approval by the Senate-R&SA. Upon approval, the Senate-R&SA will also recommend the extent of the funding to be granted to every Project. The responsibilities of the Senate-R&SA also include proposing, drafting and upgrading the policies surrounding R&D activities at UCSI.
