The Accounting degree provides students with a rigorous education, fulfilling the needs of an accountant in the
modern business environment. Students will develop relevant understanding and skills to support people within
organizations to make better decisions. Through a combination of examinations, projects, coursework and assignments,
and finally a requirement to complete a dissertation in the final year, students are able to acquire up-to-date
skills that a vocationally relevant, reflecting the complex and challenging nature of the accounting and business
environment.

In this context, accounting is a specialist discipline, thus, making it an ideal platform for a career in the field
of accountancy. Graduates can also embark on a career in Management Consulting, Business and Financial Analysis or
general management.

The course content reflects the needs of individuals who will be seeking employment in the accounting field upon
graduation. It will also help prepare those who plan on continuing their studies and training in order to become a
qualified member of a professional accounting body.
Graduates will receive up to Part II exemption from ACCA* and up to ICSA IQS1 exemption from ICSA**

fulfilled, additional English module(s) must be taken at UCSI.
