The Foundation in Architectural Studies offered by School of Architecture, Management and Surveying is a one-year pre-degree course. This full time 2½ semester intensive foundation course emphasise on the introduction to basic knowledge and skills needed for the realm of the built environment. It is designed strategically for students who intends to pursue their studies in architecture, interior architecture, building construction, building surveying, quantity surveying, construction management and other related disciplines.

The foundation course is structured to assist students in developing comprehensive understanding of curriculum, drawing out dynamic capabilities and exploring creativity. Upon completion of the foundation course successful students will receive a certificate, which recognises their progression route onto the bachelor degree programme.
