atures Y. Bhg. Prof. Dato' Dr. Mohd. Roslani's inaugural book launch at UCSI entitled "Changing The Mind-Set". The occasion also marked the reunion of longstanding colleagues, the medical fraternity, educationists and supporters of the author. Changing The Mind-Set is aptly coined to mark the adage of the day, as a call-for-action for a paradigm shift in all spheres of life.

4th February saw UCSI reaching a milestone with the signing of an agreement between West Synergy Sdn. Bhd (a member of the MUI Group in joint venture with Chin Teck Plantations Berhad) and UCSI Education Sdn. Bhd, for the establishment of an education township at Bandar Springhill, Negeri Sembilan. The ceremony was witnessed by the Deputy Prime Minister, YAB Dato' Sri Mohd. Najib bin Tun Razak, the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, YAB Dato' Seri Utama, Haji Mohamad Haji Hassan and the Director General of the Department of Higher Education who represented Dato' Mustapha Mohamad.

UCSI's Chinese Cultural Society held its Chinese New Year Extravaganza on the 15th February 2008. The event highlighted Chinese Cultural traditions and practices and was launched by the then Deputy Minister of Education , YAB Dato' Ong Tee Keat.

Finally, a special column features 'Culture Shock' which discusses the stages and experiences of culture shock, and provides suggestions on how to cushion the effects.
