 Note from the Editor-in-Chief

Welcome to Issue 11 of the UCSI E-Weekly!

Wow!! It has been a busy month. The whole of UCSI was preparing for its historic 20th Anniversary grand celebration, which saw some 900 guests attending the Gala Dinner on 17 November 2006. It was a remarkable celebration of twenty years of growth, progress and achievements.

In this issue, you can also find out the latest development in the country's biotechnology industry through an exclusive interview with Dr. Hon Wei Min, Acting Head of the School of Applied Sciences.

Read on to find out why classical music composers earn their living doing most other things except writing music. Juan Pablo shares his views in this issue.

Also, have a quick update on exciting events happening on campus such as the Partners Conference 2006 and the upcoming Christmas Celebration of Love at the CMC Centre.

Happy reading!
