The
UCSI Group staff, encompassing 15 subsidiaries
inclusive of UCSI University, was treated to a
sumptuous dinner together with good music and
entertainment at the Nikko Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The
event was attended by some 700 of the UCSI staff and
their family members. Gracing the occasion were
members of the University Council, including the
Chairman of the University Council, Yang Berbahagia
Tan Sri Dato' Seri (Dr.) Musa Mohamad and the
Chancellor of UCSI University, Tan Sri Datuk Seri
Panglima Dr. Abdul Rahman Arshad.
The company dinner saw ten performances ranging from
ethnic Malaysian dances, a yoga demonstration, to
singing performances and sketches, presented by
various departments of the UCSI Group. There were
also lucky draws for all staff members who attended
the dinner. Food hampers were presented to ten of
the departments that were brave enough to perform
on stage.
The highlight of the event was the Long Service
Award ceremony which was especially organised to
recognise long serving staff who have dedicated
years of service to the organisation. Staff members
who served up to ten, fifteen and twenty years were
recognised at this ceremony.
The theme for the entire night was “Think Green, Go
Green”, which had been unanimously voted by the
staff members in the months prior to the company
dinner. The theme reflected the establishment’s
commitment to the Earth’s conservation, and
encouraged everyone to include recycled items as
part of their attire for the night. The winner for
the Best Dressed Female for the night was Norizan
Sulong, who had made her dress out of ribbons and a
rain coat, while the winner for the Best Dressed
Male for the night was Derek Wong, who had made
creative use of various recycled items on his
costume for the night.
The UCSI Group of companies has come a long way
