Information for Authors
The Editorial Board invites
individuals and groups interested in contributing their
research reports or commentaries for inclusion in the next
issue of the JASA. Please read the following
instruction for contributors.
Types of Paper
JASA publishes
two types of papers: Research reports and Review papers.
Research reports contain original research work carried out
and are substantiated with detailed results and discussions.
Review papers also contain significant academic value and
discussion but do not necessarily contain an original
research work or experiment.

Multi-disciplinary. E.g. medicine, pharmacy,
nursing, applied science, biotech, food
nutrition, engineering (communication,
electronics, mechanical, electrical), biology,
physics, chemistry, mathematics, music, arts,
languages, social science, communication,
computer science, programming, IT, business
management, economics, accounting. |
Articles
Articles are general content that provide information on
events or certain topics. It is roughly half a page length.
Articles can be submitted by individuals or organisations
and may discuss their events or updates. It should not be
overly focused on an organizations services or products that
is based on profit (i.e: self-advertisement). Submission may
include coloured images and should be in WORD file (.doc)
without any particular format. CRE reserves the right to
reject a submission based on our own discretion and the
availability of space.

Procedure

Authors must download and
complete the Paper Submission Form from the sidebar
menu.

A softcopy of the completed
Form and the paper/commentary to be contributed must be
emailed to the CRE at (cre@ucsi.edu.my)
with the subject header "Research Paper for JASA -
1st Author's Name"

If you do not have an email
facility, the soft copy of both files must be mailed to
CRE by post in the form of a Floppy Disk or CD-ROM
together with a printed version. (Mailing address found
at the Contact Us page)

All papers/commentaries
submitted must adhere to the proper format to avoid
rejection.
General
Guidelines for Paper/Commentary Preparation
Please ensure that your paper
adheres to the following format:
-
A soft copy of the paper
must be sent in MS Office Word format (.doc).
-
Maximum 10 pages. It is
preferable that your papers do not exceed 6 pages.

Font style should be Times
New Roman.
-
Section contents should be
in 10 point font. Title and section headers use
different sizes. Please refer to the Full Instructions
below.

Papers must be in double
column and the text should be single spaced.
-
The Word document file
should be set to US Letter size (8.5in X 11in) NOT A4.
-
Abstracts should not exceed
250 words
-
All papers submitted must
be written in English, using appropriate grammar and
syntax.

No colour images will be
accepted. All images and graphics must be in black &
white or grayscale.

Authors may download a template
of the Paper format here. The
file also contains a full set of instructions. Please ensure
you read the instructions carefully. Contributions that do
not adhere to the required format will be rejected.
