CHIEF EDITOR'S WORDS
|
|

|
As I pen these words, I
reflect on a year’s worth of achievements for
research efforts at UCSI, and I realize that 2005/06
has indeed been a very fruitful year. UCSI and its
Centre for Research Excellence (CRE) are the proud
recipients of nearly a million Ringgit grant from
the Multimedia Development Corporation to conduct a
research on Volumetric Displays. The CRE now sports
a new, fully equipped Research Laboratory located at
the 3rd floor of the Block A Student Centre at the
UCSI Campus. Other achievements include the
launching of a re-designed and upgraded website (www.ucsi.edu.my/research)
and the publication of this journal. The Journal for
the Advancement of Science & Arts, better known as ‘JASA’,
is the fruit of months of labour involving numerous
parties.

situation and suggests various policy options.
