Visa Requirements

  • Upon receipt of the application and US$160 (depending on programme), the University will email a scanned copy of the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) provided the student meets the entry requirements.
  • The University will submit the documents to the Malaysian Immigration Department to begin processing the Visa Approval Letter. 60 days issuing VAL.
  • When remittance of the Initial fees and Miscellaneous Fees as stated in the LoA has been credited to the University's bank account via Telegraphic Transfer, the University will courier the Original LoA and the Original Visa Approval Letter to the student.
  • It will take at least 60 days for the Malaysian Immigration Department to issue the Visa Approval Letter; therefore the student should begin the application process at least one month before each intake.
  • The University will not be held responsible if the Malaysian Immigration Department rejects the student's visa application.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to check with the Malaysian Embassy in their country regarding any special requirements or visa requirements before coming to Malaysia. For example, the student may need to apply for a single entry visa to enter into Malaysia together with the Visa Approval Letter, in order to avoid a fine.
  • All International Students are required to take the English Placement Test upon arrival at UCSI University unless they meet the English requirements. Details can be provided upon request.
  • The student must bring along to Malaysia the original copies of their transcripts/high school certificates/O-Levels/A-Levels/equivalent
  • For African students, they are required to take the necessary inoculation (injection) especially Yellow Fever Vaccination before coming to Malaysia. A copy of the Medical Certificate must be produced for verification by the Malaysian Immigration Department
