After a well-deserved break in December, UCSI University
staff is back in January, refreshed and energized for the
year 2010! To our new students who have just arrived to
UCSI University, welcome! We hope that your time with us
so far haa been a great experience.
In this month’s issue of e-News, we interviewed renowned
violinist and musician, Mr. Dennis Lau, known throughout
the country as a one-of-a-kind violinist, who marries contemporary
music with a classical instrument. What some may not know
is that Dennis is also a former music student of UCSI University
back in 2004. Read all about his story as he reminisces
about his student days in the
Our Own Shores
section.
In this issue, Balqis Zahua, our resident writer, mulls
about marriage, and the things people do and don’t do to
stay together or grow apart. This month’s
Health Bites
section features a digital slideshow, giving everyone the
opportunity to see exhibition slides from the recent Public
Health Campaign recently held in Kampung Baru Mambau, Seremban,
Negeri Sembilan. The Pharmacy students also tell us their
story of the recent event in the
Building Communities
section.
Dr. Jimmy Mok, Dean for the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture
and Built Environment at UCSI University, talked to our
UCSI Frontiers team, of his plans and hopes for his
students, as well as his Faculty. Read all about it in
Working at UCSIU.
Last, but certainly not least, is our Feature section,
which brings a Chinese New Year message from UCSI Group
President, Dato’ Paduka Peter T. S. Ng. This year’s Chinese
New Year falls on the 14th of February. Here’s wishing everyone
a safe journey home in time for your reunion dinner.
Happy Chinese New Year!
Prof. Dr. Norfadzillah bt. Hitam. Vice President, Corporate Affairs.
