In this month’s issue of the e-News, read our President’s festive message for the upcoming Aidilfitri celebrations. To all of our Muslim readers, Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir dan Batin.  May this holy celebration find you all well, healthy, and happy, ready to take on new challenges and excitement after a month of Fasting.

The month of September marks our Welcome Ceremony for all new students in this new semester. To all these students, I would like to wish, “Welcome to UCSI University!” I hope you have been able to settle down well to your daily routine, now as a University student. You can check out some of the Welcome Ceremony photos at the Around Campus section, or else visit our Facebook page at www.ucsi.edu.my/fb for the whole album. If you were at the Ceremony, you would have met and heard Goh Tze Meng, fellow alumni member, and the first Student Council President back when UCSI University was Sedaya College talk about the good old days. Read what he has to say about the days when he was a student here at the News from Abroad section.

What does it take to be a rock star? In this month’s issue read all about our resident band, the Halfway Kings, and how they describe their pursuit (or delusion – in their words) to stardom. We also encourage other budding artists at UCSI University to send us articles about themselves to promote their music or cause.

The Best Buddies, Malaysian chapter at UCSI University is well on their way to spread the joy of friendship one by one. This month, read all about their adventure with persons of learning disabilities (LD) from Dignity & Services (D&S), advocacy movement speaking and acting on behalf of and alongside persons with LD.

Again, a kind reminder to everyone to submit articles to our department to be published here at e-News. Share your stories with the rest of the UCSI University community!
