Teachers are a nation’s precious resource. They have the power to mould minds and inspire imagination. In this month’s e-News, we pay tribute to the many teachers that make up the UCSI University family. Without the many lecturers, tutors and support staff making up the backbone of this institution, UCSI University cannot be what it is today: a testimony of education excellence. Let us appreciate all teachers not only on Teacher’s Day, but every day.

In this month’s e-News Feature section, read about how we are all teachers as well as students in our daily lives. Also read on a student’s experience about photography and its hurdles, as well as the recent friendly basketball match between UCSI University and the California Baptist University. In My Take, read about The Actor’s Studio Bangsar’s final farewell.  Balqis Zahua, our resident phantom writer, returns with her very own column. This month, she writes about Mothers, and what the recent Mother’s Day means to her.

Starting with this issue, we will append a new page called Graduate Attributes which enumerate the specific attributes or personality traits that UCSI University is intent on developing amongst all its graduates.    This  information is already uploaded on our main website but we wish to publicize the Graduate Attributes everywhere and at every opportunity so that students and staff alike are aware about it and know the fact that at UCSI University, Graduate Attribute development is a serious undertaking, aimed at making  all our graduates outstanding personalities highly preferred by employers. We do not just provide an education – we also develop strong personalities.

Everyone has a story to tell, and the e-News gives all staff and students an avenue to voice their opinions, and share their thoughts and stories with the rest of the UCSI University community. Do send us your articles. Head to the “Submissions” section, and drop us an email!
