After a short hiatus, UCSI University e-News is back - and better. It is now revamped to better showcase the various activities and events we now host with our new status as a full-fledged university. In this issue, you’ll find interesting articles in brand new sections that we have introduced. In My Take, you’ll find Balqis Zahua a phantom writer at UCSI University on her experience at Puteri Gunung Ledang, the musical. Balqis Zahua will be our regular writer in future issues. In Our Own Shores, you’ll find an article by our student on his experience with children with “Learning Disabilities” and in Building Communities; read how our own staff reinforces friendships with the community through sports. This issue also features my own experience in the catastrophic landslide which killed 5 people and drove many of us out of our homes for several weeks.

This new and improved e-News reflects the University’s mission to introduce a more interactive web experience for its users. You’ll find on the left sidebar, links to our very own Facebook and Youtube channel where you can browse for latest photos and videos of events around campus. You’ll also notice at the bottom of every article, an “AddThis” application that allows you to post a favourite article of yours anywhere on the internet.

As in the previous e-News, we encourage you to contribute articles and news that enable the UCSI University community to discover more about each other’s activities and also each other’s thoughts, successes and triumphs. Just head on to the “Submissions” section, and kindly drop us an email.

Here’s wishing you a pleasant and interesting read.
