Call for Papers

About the UCSI University International Journal

The International Journal for the Advancement of Science & Arts is a not-for-profit, open access research journal published by UCSI University. Two volumes are published each year and it is distributed to public and private universities, government organisations, libraries, research institutes, colleges and schools. Copies are also made available to UCSI University students, faculty, guests and partners.

Publishers

IJASA is published by the UCSI Publishing House and managed by the Centre of Excellence for Research, Value Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CERVIE) at UCSI University, Malaysia. UCSI University is a private university located at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It offers a wide range of undergraduate and post graduate degree programmes. CERVIE is the University's research coordinating and management wing. In addition to publishing UCSI International Journal, the CERVIE also approves research grants and monitors all research projects within the University to ensure compliance to set policies and regulations. CERVIE also co-ordinates collaborations and consultancy projects between the University and third parties.

Scope

The IJASA welcomes contributors form an empirical and/or conceptual point of view that are solicited, that address multi-disciplinary but are not limited to the area of:

Medicine, pharmacy, nursing
Applied science
Biotech, food nutrition
Engineering (communication, electronics, mechanical, electrical)
Biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics
Music, arts, languages
Social science, communication
Computer science
Programming, IT
Business management, economics, accounting
Operation management

Types of Paper

IJASA publishes two types of papers: Research Reports and Review Papers. Research Reports contain original research work carried out and are substantiated with detailed results and discussions. Review Papers also contain significant academic value and discussion but do not necessarily contain an original research work or experiment.

Submission Deadline

25th November 2011

Articles

Articles are general content that provide information on events or certain topics. It is roughly half a page in length. Articles can be submitted by individuals or organisations and may discuss their events or updates. It should not be overly focused on an organisations services or products that are based on profit (i.e: self-advertisement). Submission may include coloured images and should be in WORD file (.doc) without any particular format. CERVIE reserves the right to reject a submission based on our own discretion and the availability of space.

Submission Procedure

The IJASA welcomes contributors form an empirical and/or conceptual point of view that are solicited, that address multi-disciplinary but are not limited to the area of:

Authors must download and complete the Paper Submission Form from the sidebar menu.
A softcopy of the completed Form and the paper/commentary to be contributed must be emailed to the CERVIE at (cervie@ucsi.edu.my) with the subject header "Research Paper for UCSI University Academic Journal - 1st Author's Name".
If you do not have an email facility, the soft copy of both files must be mailed to CERVIE by post in the form of a Floppy Disk or CD-ROM together with a printed version. (Mailing address found at the Contact Us page).
All papers / commentaries submitted must adhere to the proper format to avoid rejection.

Authors may download the Submission Form, Template & Full instructions and License available on the CERVIE website. The file also contains a full set of instructions. Please ensure you read the instructions carefully. Contributions that do not adhere to the required format will be rejected.
