National BizVid Challenge 2011/2012

UCSI University's Faculty of Business and Information Science (FoBIS) is thrilled to announce the opening of its first ever national-level competition! The Competition, entitled, the National BizVid Challenge 2011/2012 is proudly sponsored by Canon Marketing (Malaysia) and supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI). Officially launched on 15th November 2011, it was officiated by the University's Vice Chancellor, Dr Robert Bong. Open to all full-time students in the public and private Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs) throughout Malaysia, the Competition themed Lively Creative Commercial Ideas, is an invitation to all students to explore their highest and deepest levels of creativity on video graphics using technology and the social media to commercialise businesses.

Required to produce and distribute a 2 to 3-minute viral video to commercialise a business product or service, each participating team will have the opportunity to work closely with a company of their choice, to understand its business values and requirements before producing the videos. The five-best participating teams will progress to the final round to create a viral video with Canon Legria Camcorder and showcasing their commercial ideas before a panel of prominent and reputable judges.
